In the United States, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unveiled a series of proposed changes to the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) practices, including a protocol for using optical gas imaging (OGI) cameras (appendix K). In addition, the European Union implemented some requirements and new rules as well. Although both have the same objective, there are some differences.
